Polvorosas

Polvorosas is a dessert that is popular in Latin America that can be prepared in a lot of different ways depending on the country. The Guatemalan version of this dessert includes powdered sugar coating the pastry.



Ingredient:

  • 2 cups of flour

  • ½ cup of butter

  • ¾ cup of granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • Powered sugar for dusting the tops of the cookies

Cooking:

  1. Mix together the flour, butter, granulated sugar and cinnamon. The dough will be powdery.

  2. Form dough into 2 tablespoon size balls or press into a 1/8th cup form for rounds.

  3. Bake in a 350 F oven for about 20 minutes until golden.

  4. Dust with powdered sugar while warm.

  5. Enjoy!
